RPCF Round 4 grants approved

The RPCF Assessment approved 6 grants at their meeting held on 19 April 2010. The grants covered the spectrum of RPCF’s wider agenda, which now also embraces financial inclusion.

Round 4 eligibility clarifications

RPCF Managers clarify that NBFIs and MFIs are eligible to apply for a grant under the Round 4 objective 1a. (Introduction of migrant centred and migrant family centred SME Financing products).

 
Round 4 Short Concept Note Clinics. RPCF Managers invite Short Concept Note preparers to attend concept note “clinics” to be held during the hours of 10:30 to 16:00 on normal work days commencing 6 December and ending 14 December. Clarification of closing date for Short Concept Notes. RPCF Managers apologise for the confusion surrounding the closing date for receiving Short Concept Notes. RPCF will accept Short Concept Notes received before 17:00 Dhaka time on 15 December 2009, instead of 13 December.

Q. What value of grant can I apply for?

 The maximum size of grant that will be awarded depends on the Round 4 objective. Details can be found in the term sheet. To ensure your concept is competitive, you should apply only for the grant you need, not for the maximum available.

Q. Can I get help in preparing my grant concept note?

Some high level assistance can be provided by the Challenge Fund Managers who can provide feedback on telephone enquiries, or on draft project concept notes during concept note clinics.

Q. Can anyone apply for a grant?

No. There are eligibility criteria for the lead partner in any project concept. Details of who may apply are provided in the Term Sheet for Round 4

 

Concept Notes can be submitted by an organisation on its own or as a lead applicant in consortium with others.

Q. Are NGOs eligible for a grant?

Yes, in certain circumstances. The NGO needs to demonstrate that its project is commercial and sustainable and that its mandate allows for commercial activities to support its goals. Of course, the project has to meet eligibility criteria.
